Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Driver for FedEx Ground Routes, where your skills in commercial driving and route delivery will power our logistics operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including box trucks and shuttle vans, delivering packages efficiently and safely across designated routes. Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks, shuttle vans, and other heavy-duty trucks to complete daily delivery routes
Load and unload packages efficiently using pallet jacks or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times
Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including moving freight or equipment within the facility
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Class B or C) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, route delivery, or shuttle driving roles
Mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles, including manual transmission operation and basic troubleshooting skills
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards
Knowledge of heavy haul operations or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not required
Physical ability to move freight, lift packages, and perform vehicle inspections regularly
